TRYIN' TO IMPROVE UPON YESTERDAY'S PERFORMANCE HERE. HERE'S WHAT'S HAPPENING IN SOCAL-
R1- DINNER AT AGO'S. I THINK HAPPY YODELER'S GOING TO GO FAVORED, SO THAT MEANS AT LEAT /2 ON THIS LA CROIX MAIDEN. SHE'S BEEN TRAINING GOOD AND IS DRAWN ALL HIS RIVALS. EXPERIENCE MEANS A LOT IN THESE BABY RACES, SO EDGE GOES TO YODELLER AND WILD BABE; ONLY PLAY DINNER IF HE GETS AWAY A LITTLE BIT ON THE BOARD.
R5- LET'S TRY TO BEAT SMART AGAIN. HE'LL BE 4/5, RAN HUGE FIRST TIME OUT FOR BAFFERT AND NAKATANI. I'M TORN BETWEEN THREE HORSES- THE RAIL HORSE, DOUBLE OPTION, WHO SHOULD GO MUCH BETTER WITH BLINKERS ON, AND TWO FIRST TIMERS- MY POKER PLAYER AND MONBRETIA.
R6- MEGUIAL. WILL LIKELY GET A FAIR PRICE FOR THE O'NEILL TRAINNEE AS SHE HIT THE TURF FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE STATES. SHE MEETS NO WORLD BEATERS AND AS BAD AS VALDIVIA IS OUT OF THE GATE (RIGHT MAZEL), HE CAN RIDE TURF VERY WELL.
R8- BANSHEE KING. GOING TO TAKE A LONGSHOT WITH BANSHEE KING. I DON'T KNOW MUCH, BUT I DO KNOW THAT 'KING WILL HAVE THE LEAD AFTER HALF A MILE. HE'S RIDICULOUSLY FAST AND THE REAL QUESTION IS, CAN HE CARRY HISSPEED OVER TWO TURNS, ON THE GRASS, FOR THE FIRST TIME. I'LL FIND OUT IF HE'S 10/1 OR BETTER. SPEED HAS BEEN DEADLY ON THIS COURSE OF LATE AND THE REST OF THE FIELD IS WEAK OTHER THAN SINGLETARY WHO WILL BE LOOKIN AT HEELS EARLY IN HERE. WIRE TO WIRE UNDER TYLER?
MORE TOMORROW.
